We are currently working with a leading global power project developer who have developed a number of major power projects globally and are looking to develop further projects with a focus on continental Europe. Their particular interest is in developing conventional thermal generation assets, and due to their continued expansion they are looking to hire a Director of Project Finance with extensive experience in financing thermal IPPs. They have ambitious growth plans and want to grow the generation capacity of projects under development by over 30% this year.
This position will have a major impact on the strategic direction of the firm, and be responsible for driving their further growth. There is also a clear progression opportunity into a Head of Project Finance position based on successful performance. As a result this is an excellent opportunity for a power project finance specialist who is looking to move into a challenging and rewarding position.
In this role you will take responsibility for evaluating potential projects and arranging and structuring thermal CCGT generation projects in the range of £500m to £1-2bn. Recent projects executed by the company have included some of the major projects now under development in Europe and Asia.
It is expected that you will have substantial experience in arranging and structuring finance, and a strong deal history in financing major thermal generation projects. This may either be gained in another major power project developer or an investment bank or infrastructure fund.
